Shades of Hope

It seems we are all obligated by the world
For desire and hope.
We all scuffle for something new,
a little gesture of true love
We climb steep mountains,
we swim deepest oceans
tied with a rope called hope.
For the desires that are baffling
For desires that are more of a need
But we hope to live that moment
Hope to shine in their eyes
Hope to be cherished every day
But while being hopeful
We crumble to see
The reality and the truth
The passion that is merely
Shattered to pieces of glass.
And yet we glue
those shattered glass pieces
to be like a hope for others
For them to look through.
